BulletArc — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Post Alley Apps, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the BulletArc mobile application (Android and iOS) and the BulletArc website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service.

By using BulletArc, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous usage data that helps us improve the app. This includes:

• Screen views and navigation patterns
• Feature usage (e.g., which calculators are used, bullet selections)
• App performance and crash data
• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• General geographic region (country/city level, not precise location)

This data is aggregated and anonymous. We cannot identify individual users from analytics data.

BulletArc does not track users across other companies' apps or websites. On iOS, we do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework because no cross-app tracking occurs.

2b. Location Data

The ballistic calculator includes an optional weather integration feature. If you grant location permission, your device's GPS coordinates are used solely to fetch local weather conditions (temperature, altitude, barometric pressure, wind). Your location is:

• Sent directly to the Open-Meteo weather API to retrieve conditions
• Never stored on our servers
• Never shared with third parties beyond the weather request
• Only accessed when you explicitly tap the location button

You can deny or revoke location permission at any time through your device settings. The app functions fully without it.

• iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > BulletArc

2c. User-Generated Data

Rifle profiles, calculation inputs, and preferences you create are stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to this data.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Account or login credentials (no accounts are required)
• Payment or financial information
• Contacts, photos, or other device data
• Precise location history
• Data used to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies

4. Third-Party Services

BulletArc uses the following third-party services:

• Google Analytics for Firebase — anonymous usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy
• Open-Meteo API — weather data retrieval (only when you use the location/weather feature). Open-Meteo Terms

5. Data Retention

Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics according to their standard retention policies (default 14 months). We do not maintain separate data storage for user information.

6. Children's Privacy

BulletArc is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the information associated with our Service. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

You can:

• Opt out of analytics collection by adjusting your device's ad and analytics settings, or by using the Google Analytics opt-out tools
• Revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings
• Delete locally stored data by clearing the app's data or uninstalling

Platform-specific instructions:

• Android: Settings > Apps > BulletArc > Storage > Clear Data, or uninstall
• iOS: Delete and reinstall the app, or adjust permissions in Settings > Privacy & Security

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
